In a landmark celebration of innovation and impact, AA Kenya hosted the inaugural Road Safety Excellence Awards Gala Dinner yesterday at Pullman Nairobi Upperhill. The event drew top leaders from government, industry, academia, and civil society, all united by a shared mission: safer roads for every Kenyan.
The awards recognized individuals, organizations, and institutions that have driven transformative road‑safety initiatives nationwide—with hundreds of submissions evaluated against measures of impact, innovation, and sustainability.
Guests of honour included Principal Secretary in the State Department of Sports Hon. Elijah Mwangi; NTSA Director General Mr. George Njau; Traffic Commandant Dr. Fredrick Ochieng; and key representatives from Kenya Police Service, Kenya Airways, KCA University, and the Kenya Motor Sports Federation.
In his keynote address, AA Kenya Group Managing Director Francis Theuri urged all to turn recognition into replication and action:
“Tonight’s awards serve a triple purpose: to recognize excellence, inspire replication, and catalyze enduring change. It’s time to walk the talk. Road safety is everyone’s responsibility.”
This launch builds on AA Kenya’s April announcement of the awards, part of its broader mission to reduce fatalities through robust, evidence‑based innovation
