The ruling United Democratic Alliance party on Today assured Kenyans that the government is working to cushion families and businesses from the pain of rising fuel prices and the increasing cost of living.
Speaking during a press briefing at the UDA headquarters in Nairobi, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar acknowledged the tough economic situation facing many households, saying the Kenya Kwanza administration understands the frustrations being experienced across the country.
The ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has accused opposition leaders of exploiting the ongoing fuel crisis and public transport disruptions to incite public anger against the government. According to UDA the crisis had been worsened by disruptions in international oil supply chains linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has pushed up crude oil prices, freight charges, insurance premiums and import costs.
